...For the record... L'Orchidée Cosmique
is a solo project that fuses bass, fuzz, synths, loopers, and
programmed drums to craft a sound rooted in Noise, Ambient, and
Post-Metal. Active
since late 2015 and based in Chambéry (73), L'Orchidée Cosmique, led by
Flo, delivers a sonic journey that oscillates between serene,
weightless exploration and turbulent, crash-landing intensity—prepare to
stretch your neck. The music charts a unique
course, blending the heavy post-rock atmospheres of Mogwai, the raw
noise energy of Sonic Youth or A Place To Bury Strangers, and the
magnetic fuzz of Torche. While the compositions can be intricate and
winding, they remain strikingly accessible. With
over 150 live performances across France, Switzerland, Belgium,
Germany, the Czech Republic, and Canada, as well as artist residencies
(Brise Glace, SMAC Annecy, and Brin de Zinc in Chambéry), the full
experience of L'Orchidée Cosmique comes alive on stage—a space where
playfulness meets introspection. |
